GARBAGE/LANDFILL
The garbage/landfill rates may be put on "vacation" while a resident is out of town. Please contact the Town office regarding vacation status.

*Special pick ups include items that are not in the normal location for the residence, either the alley or the street, or pick ups that require the garbage truck and/or personnel to leave their normal route. Also included, are all items which would not qualify to be picked up by the trash compactor truck. Examples of special pick up items: refrigerators, burn barrels, furniture, large branches, and any other item which could not be hauled by the resident and would require Town equipment and labor.
The Town of Holly does not provide barrels for garbage. Customers are required to provide their own barrels which are adequate in nature to defend against animal intrusion and wind. Customers can purchase 55 gallon barrels from the town for $10.
Customers are provided the option to rent dumpsters at a monthly rate.

Would you like to share a dumpster with a neighbor? Please inform office personnel of this request and the dumpster rate will be split between you and your neighbor(s) and applied to your respective monthly billings.
The garbage pickup schedule is:
- Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: commercial/dumpster trash routes
- Thursday: residential trash routes
In the event trash pickup falls on a holiday, the town will pick up trash prior to the holiday. All trash must be bagged in regular garbage bags, no retail bags please.
The Town's landfill is open to the public full days on Wednesday
and Saturday. Spring/Summer Hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Fall/Winter hours
are 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
It is open half days on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. Fall/Winter
hours are 12 noon - 4:00 p.m. Spring/Summer hours are 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

* Commercial hauls are considered to be anything hauled to the landfill by/for a customer or non-customer for any of the following: extensive house or business demolition, remodeling, renovation, roofing, lumber, or any other material which would fall into this category.
The commercial haul rate is not intended for normal yard clean-up and tree care for customers.
