CARIN MARI & PONY EXPRESS
The music of Carin Mari & Pony Express of Buena Vista, CO, embodies the spirit of Western Music! Carin's original songs and fresh arrangements of the classics, which feature warm harmonies and pure yodeling along with superb musicianship, have won the group numerous awards. The North America Country Music Association, International awarded Carin the titles of - "2009 Entertainer of the Year" and "Songwriter of the Year" for Traditional Country. Carin and her brothers were named Colorado Country Music's - "2008 Best Western Band"! They are from Buena Vista, Colorado, but they've played all over the country; from an Inaugural Ball at the Smithsonian in 2005 to the Melody Ranch Motion Picture Studio in California - where many of the great Westerns were filmed. They have a respect for the traditional western sound, but strive to create their own refreshing sound that appeals to the lovers of the traditional western music, as well as those new to the genre.
Carin (18) is a national yodeling champion, accomplished guitarist, and songwriter. Her older brother Colin (20) plays the mandolin and is a certified audio engineer. Their younger brother, Evan (15) plays the bass guitar. They have recently released their fourth and newest CD, “Life, Love, Legends.”
